2021 is a busy year for Peugeot with the recent launch of the new 2008 SUV and upcoming models like the Landtrek commercial and leisure bakkie range and the exciting facelift to the popular 3008 model. The 3008 model was first introduced in 2008 and has seen over 800,000 units produced since then making it a very popular model thanks to the demand for a medium size SUV with all of the benefits and features also one of the first models to introduce a Heads-up Display on a family SUV winning a few awards on its way.

The new 3008 will be looking to continue the success and retain the loyalty and attention of its previous shape by promising a stylish new design, exciting new features and while still being able to appeal to the discerning motorist.

Looking at what we can expect from the 2021 Peugeot 3008 one the most noticeable improvements is the conformity of the new generation Peugeot design, an aggressive front with LED Headlights and sleek daytime running lights with integrated Fog Lamps and LED rear lights, Bolder grille, sharper corners and head lamp design.

The new model retains most of the shape and design seeing sharp edges without comprising on the space. The sportier GT Line will feature a 19-inch Diamond cut Alloy Rim emphasising it’s authority on the road.

Expected to come in both petrol and diesel with manual and automatic transmissions except the 1.6 litre 132kW Turbocharged engine which will only be available in automatic while the 1.2 litre turbo charged engines will kick out 96kW on a 3 cylinder motor and an electric hybrid motor for the European market which we could possibly get.

One of the most impressive technological additions Peugeot’s i-Cockpit will get an update with a 12.3-inch digital customisable setup, a 10 inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple Carplay ® for seamless smart device integration connecting driver to the car. A host of nifty features will be available like massage seats, adaptive cruise control and auto-tailgate as well.

  • 6 Airbags

While Airbags are generally standard on most cars, not all entry level models have airbags or even Dual Airbags fitted. Airbags have been proven in reducing fatalities and serious injuries in conjunction with the seatbelt, the 108 comes standard with 6 Airbags.

  • ABS, EBD & ESP

Anti-locking Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) is a standard feature on newer vehicles produced but less common in entry level models. The ABS system prevents locking of the tyres during sudden hard braking allowing the driver to manoeuvre the vehicle while braking, EBD allows sufficient braking to the correct wheels and Electronic Stability Programme corrects the vehicle and prevents it from sliding.
